The routes Manchester books most
Popular Limo Journeys We Quote for in Manchester
Twelve journeys, the way they actually run – pick-ups, set-downs, timings and the limousine that fits
Most Manchester limo enquiries are one of a dozen journeys. The hen party from south Manchester into Spinningfields, the stag do from Bolton into the Northern Quarter and back, the prom run from a Trafford school to a city-centre hotel, the 5am airport transfer from Bramhall. After more than twenty years quoting them we know where each one goes right and where it goes wrong, so here they are: who books them, how long they need, where the chauffeur sets you down and which vehicle usually wins. If yours is here, you will know what to ask for. If it is not, we will still quote it.
How a Manchester limo journey is quoted
Every journey on this page is priced the same way. Limo hire in Manchester starts from £365 for a one-hour stretch limousine, and from that starting point the quote depends on the vehicle you choose, the hours you book, the date and where we collect you. A journey is rarely the whole story: the same Didsbury-to-Deansgate run is a one-hour arrival for one group and the first leg of a three-hour night for another, and that decision – not the miles – is what moves the figure. Pick-ups anywhere inside Greater Manchester are priced the same way; Cheshire and Lancashire add distance. Our Manchester limo hire prices guide explains each factor in turn.
Into town
Nights out and arrivals
The journeys that fill Friday and Saturday evenings across the Manchester fleet.

South Manchester to Spinningfields or Deansgate
Didsbury, Chorlton, Sale or Altrincham collected at home, prosecco opened on the driveway, set-down on Quay Street for the Spinningfields bars or Whitworth Street West for Deansgate Locks. The classic hen party and birthday arrival, and the single most quoted journey we have.
Bolton, Bury or Wigan into the Northern Quarter and back
The stag do shape: everyone collected from one pub or house in the north of the county, out past the Etihad, dropped on Stevenson Square because the Quarter's one-way streets are too tight for a sixteen-seater, and the same vehicle waiting on Church Street at one in the morning.
The city-lights cruise
A loop rather than a journey: Salford Quays and MediaCity at dusk, back along the Mancunian Way, down Deansgate past the Hilton tower and out to the Etihad, lighting set to your colour, playlist on. Booked as the middle hour of a birthday or the whole hire for a children's party.
Piccadilly station or a city hotel to dinner and the bars
Hen and stag groups arriving by train from Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield or London. First collection at the hotel forecourt rather than the station, timed to the restaurant booking, then on to Peter Street or Canal Street with the limousine waiting at each stop.
Home to Co-op Live or the AO Arena, and back after the encore
Out from anywhere in the boroughs to the designated drop zone, then a pre-arranged collection point once the show finishes so nobody is standing in the post-concert traffic on Ashton New Road or outside Victoria. Our concerts and shows page covers both arenas in detail.
Daytime and occasions
Proms, weddings, airports and days out
School to prom venue
Trafford, Stockport, Salford and Bury schools to the city-centre hotels and the country-house venues on the Cheshire border. We ask for the pick-up postcode so the chauffeur can check the approach – a Timperley cul-de-sac that defeats a Hummer H2 is fine for an H3 or a stretch. Late June and the first week of July are priced for the date; see prom limo hire Manchester.
Home, ceremony, photographs, reception
Worsley or Prestwich to Manchester Cathedral or the Town Hall district, a photograph stop at Castlefield or the Quays, then the reception in Spinningfields or out at a Cheshire hall. Timed around the Mancunian Way and the ring road on a Saturday, with ribbons fitted and the chauffeur holding the car for the departure shots. Full detail on wedding limo and car hire Manchester.
Home to Manchester Airport
Bramhall, Cheadle, Wilmslow border, Didsbury or anywhere in the boroughs to Terminals 1, 2 or 3, at whatever hour the flight demands. Priced as a fixed transfer rather than by the hour because the timing is predictable and the limousine does not wait. Luggage decides the vehicle: an executive 4×4 for a family, a stretch for a send-off, a Hummer for a hen party flying out. See Manchester Airport limo hire.
City hotel to Old Trafford or the Etihad
Hospitality guests and groups of mates alike. Sir Matt Busby Way closes before United home games so the set-down is on Chester Road; at the Etihad the approach is from Ashton New Road, away from the cordon. The limousine returns for the final whistle at an agreed point. Covered on match day limo hire.
Manchester to Haydock Park or Chester Races
Haydock is the near one, half an hour or so out along the M62 for an evening meeting or a summer Saturday; Chester's May Festival is an hour down the M56 and M53 and a day out in itself. Prosecco on the way, a drop at the racecourse's coach and limousine area, and a collection when racing ends. Our race day limo hire page has the courses in detail.
Home to the Trafford Centre, then into town for dinner
A shopping hen or a girls' birthday: collected late morning, Barton Dock Road to the Trafford Centre, bags into the boot between stops, then Deansgate or King Street for the evening. One vehicle covers the whole day, usually pink. See Trafford Centre limo hire.
Manchester to Liverpool, Blackpool, Leeds or the Lakes
Longer journeys outside Greater Manchester are quoted on distance and time: a stag day in Liverpool with the limousine waiting, a Blackpool Illuminations evening for a children's party, a Leeds hen weekend that starts in Manchester, or a wedding car to a Lake District venue. Tell us the destination and the hours you need and we will quote it as a day rather than an hourly hire.
What makes a Manchester journey easier to quote

- Name the journey, not just the night. "Didsbury to Spinningfields, one-hour arrival, eight of us" gets an exact price in one reply. "A limo for Saturday" gets questions.
- One pick-up point. A group scattered across Sale, Stockport and Bolton meets at one house, a pub or a hotel. Three outer collections add time and cost.
- Say whether you want the vehicle to wait. A return booking is priced as two runs; a three-hour hire keeps the limousine with you. Which one you need depends on how many stops the night has.
- Give us the postcode. The chauffeur checks the approach for a Hummer in advance and suggests a meeting point a street away if the turning circle will not work.
- Check the date. Prom week, December weekends and New Year's Eve are priced for the night; our Manchester limo hire calendar shows what else tightens availability.
For the full fleet, the areas we cover and how booking works, start from the main limo hire Manchester page; for an exact figure on any of the journeys above, send us the date and the headcount.
Journey questions
Manchester limo journey FAQs
Is a journey priced by the mile?
No. Inside Greater Manchester there is no meter and no mileage charge; the hire is priced by the vehicle, the hours and the date. Journeys beyond the boroughs – Liverpool, Blackpool, Leeds, the Lakes – are quoted on distance and time as a day hire.
What is the difference between a return booking and a three-hour hire?
A return booking is two separate runs – out at seven, back at one – with the limousine released in between, and it is usually the better value when you only need delivering and collecting. A three-hour hire keeps the vehicle with you throughout, which is what weddings, race days and multi-stop nights need.
Can the limousine stop on the way?
Within a three-hour hire, yes – a photo stop at Salford Quays or a second pick-up in the next suburb is normal. A one-hour arrival is a single journey with one drop; tell us if you need more and we will book the right length.
Where does the limo drop us in the city centre?
At the nearest point a stretch can legally stop: Quay Street for Spinningfields, Whitworth Street West for Deansgate Locks, Peter Street for the hotel bars, Stevenson Square or Church Street for the Northern Quarter, Princess Street for Canal Street. The chauffeur knows them all and will agree the collection point with you before you get out.
