Bars, clubs and big nights across Manchester city centre
Night Out Limo Hire Manchester
From your first stop to the final drop-off – the city's bar districts, and where the limo stops for each
A night out in Manchester is rarely about one destination, and that is where a limousine changes the evening. Instead of planning around taxis, queues and tram times, your group moves through the city as one – from drinks in Spinningfields to the bars under the arches at Deansgate Locks, the Northern Quarter's cocktail dens, Canal Street or the late licences at the Printworks – with a chauffeur who knows exactly where a thirty-foot vehicle can pull in. This page covers the city's districts and set-down points, how to shape the booking, which vehicle suits the group and how a Manchester night out is priced.
- Drop in town, three-hour crawl or out-and-back
- Return collections after midnight
- 8 to 30 in one vehicle

Where Manchester goes out – and where the limousine stops
Manchester's nightlife is spread across distinct areas, each with its own mood, and getting between them is usually the hardest part of the night. A stretch limousine cannot stop at every bar door – Deansgate's pedestrianised stretch, the one-way grid of the Northern Quarter and the canal towpath at the Locks all rule it out – so our chauffeurs work from a short list of corners that are legal, safe and within two minutes' walk of where you are going. These are the districts, what each is for, and where the limo pulls in.
Spinningfields
Where most nights start: cocktail bars, rooftops and the smarter restaurants between Deansgate and the river. Dressed-up, pricier, good for 30ths and corporate nights.
Set-down: Quay Street / Bridge StreetDeansgate Locks
Bars and clubs in the railway arches along the canal, the busiest strip on a Saturday and the usual second stop for hen and stag groups.
Set-down: Whitworth Street WestNorthern Quarter
Independent bars, live music and late cocktails in the old warehouse streets. Narrow and one-way, so the limousine drops on the edge and it is two minutes to anywhere.
Set-down: Stevenson Square / Church StreetCanal Street
The Gay Village – bars and clubs along the canal, a Manchester institution and a hen-night fixture for decades, busiest in Pride week.
Set-down: Princess Street / Whitworth StreetPeter Street & Albert Square
Albert's Schloss, the big hotel bars, the Great Northern and the theatres. Central, easy for a stretch limo, and the usual return-collection point at the end of the night.
Set-down: Peter StreetPrintworks, Corn Exchange & Ancoats
The big venues, the cinema and the latest licences on Corporation Street; the newer bars and restaurants of Ancoats a short walk beyond, around Cutting Room Square.
Set-down: Corporation Street / Great Ancoats StreetClub limo hire in Manchester – elevate your night from start to finish
No other city can rival Manchester's mix of laid-back late bars, live music venues and clubs covering dance, indie, pop and everything alternative. There is somewhere decent to drink on almost every corner, from hip new openings in Ancoats to the places that have been packed every Saturday for twenty years, and part of the fun is moving between them. That is exactly what a chauffeur-driven limousine removes the friction from: the group travels together, nobody waits for a taxi in the rain outside the Locks, and the car that dropped you in Spinningfields is the one that collects you from Peter Street at two.
Imagine arriving in the Northern Quarter in a white Hummer – or a black one – or pulling up outside Albert's Schloss in a stretch Range Rover. For a girls' night, a pink Hummer or pink limo at the Locks is still the entrance that turns every head on Whitworth Street. Whatever the venue and whatever the vehicle, we have access to the right limousine for the night you have planned, and we have been planning Manchester nights out for over 20 years.
Three ways to shape a night-out booking
The drop: one hour
Collected from home or a hotel, a short cruise, dropped at the first bar. The lowest-priced option and the right one when the night is about the venues rather than the car. Limo hire in Manchester starts from £365 for a one-hour stretch limousine, and a Saturday drop into town for eight is exactly that booking.
The crawl: three hours
The limousine stays with you and moves the group between two or three districts – Spinningfields for cocktails, the Locks for the bars, the Northern Quarter to finish – waiting at each set-down. Nobody loses anyone between stops, the coats and bags stay in the car, and the drinks on board bridge the gaps. Quoted for the vehicle and the date, because a three-hour Hummer in December and a three-hour stretch in February are very different hires.
The return: out and back
Out at seven, collected at one or two from an agreed point. Priced as two runs with a late-night supplement rather than as the hours in between, which makes it the best value when all you need is a reliable way home for sixteen people at the end of the night. The collection point is agreed in advance – Peter Street, Quay Street or Corporation Street are the ones that work – and the chauffeur calls the organiser on arrival.
How a return-booking night runs
The out-and-back is the Manchester night-out booking we do most, because it gives the group the arrival and the way home without paying for a limousine to sit outside a bar for five hours. A typical Saturday looks like this.
- 7.00pm – Pick-up in DidsburyHummer H2 arrives, drinks opened, the second half of the group collected from a house in Withington five minutes later.
- 7.30pm – The cruise inUp Princess Parkway, round the Mancunian Way with the lights on, a slow pass down Deansgate for the photographs.
- 7.50pm – Set-down on Quay StreetDinner and cocktails in Spinningfields. The limousine is released; the chauffeur confirms the collection point and time with the organiser.
- 10.30pm – On footSpinningfields to the Locks is a ten-minute walk; the Locks to Peter Street is five. The city centre is small enough that one drop and one collection covers most of it.
- 1.30am – Collection, corner of Peter Street and Watson StreetSame vehicle, same chauffeur, everyone home in one run. The late-night supplement is already in the quote.
Designed for group nights out
Club limousine hire works best for groups who want to stay together all evening – birthdays, hen and stag parties, student and freshers' nights, work Christmas parties and planned celebrations. Vehicles with larger capacity are the usual choice, because the aim is to keep the atmosphere going between venues rather than split into taxis: the Hummer H2 and the 4×4 stretches take thirteen to sixteen; the party bus takes up to thirty and has the dance floor for the journey. Inside, the set-up matches the night – music from your phone, lighting, a bar with glassware and ice, privacy glass – so the evening starts at the pick-up, whether that is a house in Didsbury, a hotel on Portland Street or a restaurant where the group has eaten first.

- Up to 8 – stretch Lincoln in white, black or pink, Chrysler Baby Bentley, or an Audi Q7 or Range Rover stretch for a smarter Spinningfields night.
- 9 to 13 – Lincoln Navigator, Jeep Expedition or Ford Excursion 4×4 stretch: the seats run the length of the cabin and it is the best-value answer for the group that is one too many for a stretch.
- 14 to 16 – Hummer H2 in black, white or pink; the black H2 is the stag and 21st favourite, the pink one is the hen night.
- 16 to 30 – party bus, with standing room, a sound system built for it and a bar.
What a night out costs in Manchester
Limo hire in Manchester starts from £365 for a one-hour stretch, and that figure is the floor rather than a tariff. The price of your night is set by the vehicle (a Hummer or a party bus costs more for the hour than a stretch and usually less per head once it is full), by the shape of the booking – a drop, a three-hour crawl or an out-and-back – by the date, and by where we collect you. Friday and Saturday nights are priced above midweek; the Saturdays before Christmas, New Year's Eve, Pride weekend and freshers' fortnight are priced for the night because every vehicle in the city is working. We quote the exact figure for your date with the per-head amount alongside it, and it is fixed once confirmed. Limo hire Manchester prices explains each factor and the handful of decisions that bring a quote down.
Make the most of peak nights
Weekends in Manchester are high demand, and limousines are booked well ahead for Friday and Saturday nights – especially the larger vehicles and anything pink. Some weekends are busier still: freshers' fortnight in late September, the Saturdays before Christmas when every office party in the city is out, Pride weekend in August, bank holidays and derby nights. Securing the vehicle early gives you more choice and more flexibility on timings; leaving it to the week before usually means taking whatever is left. The Manchester limo hire calendar lists the weekends that go first.
Two timing habits make a night-out booking run better. Collect everyone from one address, or a restaurant where you have eaten, rather than touring four houses across south Manchester – it saves money and keeps the group together from the first drink. And agree the return collection point before anyone has had a drink; "outside the bar" is not a place a Hummer can wait, "the corner of Peter Street and Watson Street at 1.30am" is.
Night-out bookings that are not Saturdays
Not every big night is a weekend. Thursday is the student night in Fallowfield and the Northern Quarter and a cheaper night to hire; Sunday evenings suit a relaxed birthday with dinner and one bar; and midweek work nights out – leaving dos, end-of-project drinks, a team night at the Printworks – are among the best-value limo bookings in the city. Weekday and Sunday hires are priced below Saturdays for the same vehicle, and limousines that are impossible to get on a Saturday in December are often free on the Wednesday.
For nights built around an event rather than the bars – a concert at Co-op Live or the AO Arena, a match at Old Trafford or the Etihad followed by town – the timings and set-downs are different, and those pages cover them. Pick-ups work the same way from every part of Greater Manchester, and city-centre hotels are the usual start for groups visiting for the weekend.
Night out questions
Night out limo hire Manchester FAQs
Can the limo drop us right outside the bar?
Sometimes, but not on Deansgate's pedestrianised section, in the Northern Quarter's one-way streets or at the Locks themselves. The set-downs listed above are within a two-minute walk of the venues and are where the chauffeurs stop every weekend.
Will the limo wait while we are in a bar?
On a three-hour hire, yes – the vehicle waits nearby between stops. On a one-hour drop it leaves after the set-down. For a collection at the end of the night, book a return.
Can we drink in the limo?
Yes, passengers aged 18 and over can drink on board. Bring your own or add a drinks package; glassware and ice are provided. Glass bottles are best left in the vehicle rather than carried into venues.
How late can you collect us?
Returns are booked up to the small hours; collections after midnight carry a late-night supplement, which is already built into a return-booking quote. Agree the point and time in advance and be there.
Do you do student nights and freshers' bookings?
Yes – Thursday nights and freshers' fortnight are regular Manchester bookings, and weekday prices are lower than Saturdays. The organiser must be 18 or over and makes the booking and payment.
